Over the past two months I've been spending a lot of time in Arvika holding lectures for the programming students of GameMaker. In August I held a course in multiplayer/network programming, and this month I did a couple of lectures about faster / more agile game development, including techniques for Immediate Mode Graphical User Interfaces and various automated persistence solutions.
I had great fun teaching the GameMaker students; they are a very driven bunch who are eager to get into the games industry. I wish them luck in their upcoming game projects and coming internships!
I've also been working on both a new version of the Spell of Play hUb as well as hammering away on numerous game concepts in order to get something new up on the hUb. I really feel that it's been way too long since I "published" anything game related, so now that things are wrapping up on the teaching front I'm feeling energized to get something out there for your gaming pleasure!
