The Whiskey Sessions started when three old (by this point) musicians met to get reacquianted and drink som whiskey. The whole think quickly turned into a recurring even about booze, music, and on-the-spot creativity. We get together, pop the cork, and get cracking on writing a song. The goal is to compose, write lyrics, perform and record an entire song in a single evening, preferably before the neighbors start banging on the wall or the audio interface burns up. We often mix and master when we've had a chance to sober up, but we are proud to challenge ourselves to achieve all of this in a short period of time. And it's a lot of fun too...... See below for music, lyrics and photos from each time The Whiskey Sessions have met, in reverse chronological order. Big Mama Blues.mp3 (mix: peen) i was cruising down the road last saturday night 57 chevy in the clear moonlight when i saw her - she was standing by the side of the road i pulled up beside, i gave her a ride and now she won't let me go she was a big fat mamma with an ass so wide i probably could have driven my chevy inside she was big - the biggest girl that i've ever seen and now every night when i turn out the light yeah, i think you know what i mean the bigger the better the biggest the best she'll put your love to the test i said woah-oh-oh-oh-oh honey you just can't lose she'll tease she'll please she won't let you snooze got the big big Big Mama Blues i work all day because i think it's right you better believe my baby makes me work all night and it hurts - i feel it in my back now and then but if i stay home from work it's still gonna hurt because she'll only make me do it again the bigger the better... i woke up this morning with a hole in my bed i sat there like a fool just scratching my head because my baby - she was no where that i could see but i could still smell'er, i found her in the cellar and you bet that she was ready for me the bigger the better... After the latest fiascos what with a party that spun out of control and a song that was never finished we needed something to get us back on our feet. johno had an old song from early years in Stenungsund (ca 1992) that seemed like a good candidate. We added a new verse and generally had a blast (that might be a redundant comment...) We were at Peen's place again with the whole original crew and without any guests. The summer heat had us undressing more and more as the evening progressed, and there are some photos that we'd rather not publish. The song is about having a very large and very demanding girlfriend. Any truth to this?
